I just signed up for this half marathon happening in December so there is still time to train and or would be a good tune up race if you are running a winter half or marathon.
Things have been complicated this year, to say the least but I have continued with my training and am excited to run this race! Currently I am training for a secret race, but some friends do know about it so this race will be my “cool down” race a few weeks later. I plan on running it at a steady pace with new mom of two and BibRave friend, Sarah, so should be a fun time. I have ran this race a couple times in the past but not in about 5 years. Hoping I can rope a couple friends who live in the area to come and cheer for us on race day.
In the past, I don’t believe there was so many run options but this year it seems there is an option to run a 5k or 10k the day before on Saturday, December 10th. Also there is a marathon relay with a team of 4 runners and some double race weekend options! I like that idea of double races but I don’t think I can handle the drive two days in a row. I am not planning on staying in WPB for the race but I have in the past stayed in a few pretty nice hotels, including once staying in a boutique hotel that was within walking distance from the race. I have never ran the marathon option for this race but I am planning to one day as its a flat and fast course.
